For us your wedding should never start to feel like a photo shoot and we want you to enjoy your day with your friends and families and simply forget about us. Aside from any groups and portraits you may want, we do not direct anything. Henri Cartier Bresson once said that “Some photographers create photographs, I make them.” This is most definitely how our minds work on a wedding day as staged photography for us always feels rather false and a little out of place and what really gets the fire in our hearts going is capturing candid and un-posed photography. Our love of documentary photography throws us into every situation feet first and we want every wedding to be completely different: no preconceptions, no “cookie-cutter” photography, no situation shot identically to how we’ve done it before. We want you to feel your wedding come alive in our photographs with our perhaps a little quirky, almost certainly unorthodox but definitely and 100% in-the-moment style. Our photography is first and foremost about individual people and personalities and by that mantra no two weddings can ever be photographed in quite the same way.
Speaking of doing things a little differently Steph and Sean’s Yorkshire Wedding Barn Photography was a perfect example! The day forged a wonderful balance of fierce rock n’ roll attitude alongside a cool vintage playfulness that brought out some amazing and lively personalities to say the least! It was an absolute pleasure to capture them and their gorgeous (and hilarious) little family and my word what a fun day we had immersing ourselves in all of the action!
