CHARLOTTE & PATRICK // SUFFOLK DOCUMENTARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY BY DOM & LIAM
2020. It seems almost inconceivable that another year has passed and we will be starting our 15th wedding season this year! Somehow around this time every year we find ourselves describing the previous 365 days as our best ever, yet once again it’s undeniably true – 2019 brought us so many incredible gifts and surprises and we are SO excited to get going with 2020 and see what new adventures are in store for us! Photography has never felt like a job to us, we see it purely as an opportunity to create. A chance to make images that excite and motivate us to become better and better at what we do. A means to connect artistically with like-minded couples who believe in unposed, candid imagery with humour and heart.
When we received Charlotte and Patrick’s email we instantly knew we would be a great match. Their love of “not the norm” wedding photography and their desire for depth, drama and balance all set within the central context of just having fun certainly got our attention! Charlotte and Patrick just wanted an amazing day with all their friends and family with no fuss and without endlessly posing for photos. We started at the Secret Meadows Glampsite in Suffolk and captured the getting ready of both the girls and boys together as they played games, had a picnic and got dressed as one big family.
From there everyone piled onto the bus to travel to the Old Jet, Bentwaters Parks. The Old Jet is actually the ex U.S. Air Force base in the area and is now a (somewhat unusual!) creative hub Art Centre. This, complete with some authentic re-purposed original hangers, formed the backdrop to an emotional ceremony and a good old sing-along from the congregation to Beatles classic Hey Jude. Afterwards the party continued at the Geodesic dome marquee where dancing and some spectacular fireworks ended the night!
We could have picked dozens more images but these few are a selection of our favourites.
