Documentary Storytelling for Same-Sex Weddings & Civil Partnerships

LIVE EVERY MOMENT, FEEL EVERY BEAT, FORGET THE CAMERA'S EVEN THERE

To us, wedding photographs and films are not just about commemorating one special day, they're a celebration of our couples: your personalities, your relationship and all the people closest to your hearts. It's not just your wedding we look to document, it's this time in your lives together.
Your wedding isn't about fitting into a mould, and your photography shouldn't be either.
We specialize in capturing LGBTQ+ weddings and Civil Partnerships with zero clichés and zero posing. We know that traditional wedding photography often relies on gendered stereotypes—'the bride' and 'the groom' poses that just don't fit.
Our documentary approach is different. We don't direct you; we celebrate you. Whether it’s two grooms, two brides, or a non-binary couple, we treat every wedding exactly the same: as a unique celebration of two people in love. No awkward staging, just the real, unscripted energy of your day.

Looking beyond the obvious beats ...

The most powerful moments are often the ones you least expect. We love the big stories - the ceremony, the rings, the first dance, and we'll be there to capture all of them, but between each of those traditional markers a thousand stories emerge at every wedding. We're always looking for those off-moments that tell us everything about you, your family and friends - the in-jokes, the knowing looks, the moments lost in thought and the symmetry and juxtapositions between the people and objects we find around us. Forget any preconceptions about what your wedding can be or what your photographs or films might look like. The greatest memories don't always come from the biggest moments, but big or small we'll be there to capture them all on photo and film.

Inclusive, Unobtrusive Coverage

A Safe Space to Be Yourselves The best photos happen when you feel completely at ease. As a family team, inclusivity is at the heart of what we do. We have captured same-sex celebrations across the UK—from intimate London town hall elopements to grand countryside parties.

We understand that for some LGBTQ+ couples, public displays of affection can sometimes feel vulnerable. Our style is purely observational. We never force a moment or ask you to ‘perform’ for the camera. We simply fade into the background, allowing you to interact naturally with each other and your guests, capturing the genuine intimacy that only happens when you forget we are even there.

Your Day, Your Rules
We know that many LGBTQ+ weddings break the rulebook—ditching the top table, walking down the aisle together, or getting ready in the same room.
Our flexible, multi-person team adapts to your structure. If you are getting ready together, we can capture the chaos in one room; if you are separate, our two-photographer team (Dom & Liam) can split up to ensure both sides of the story are told equally. And if you decide to skip the formal group shots entirely? Perfect. We’ll just keep shooting the party.

We highly recommend York Place Studios, we invited Dom & Liam to photograph our wedding and we were thrilled with the result. They captured the energy and spirit of the day perfectly, their style is natural and the final photographs are fantastic.

Frequently Asked Questions

We don’t “pose” anyone! That’s the beauty of our style. Traditional posing often relies on “masculine/feminine” tropes that feel outdated. We simply capture you interacting naturally. If you want a few portraits, we’ll find great light and let you just be yourselves—whether that’s holding hands, hugging, or just laughing together.

We work all over the UK and love discovering new spaces. We are particularly experienced in London city weddings (places like Islington Town Hall, Chelsea Old Town Hall, and Soho venues) which are popular for relaxed, stylish same-sex celebrations.

Yes! We love the intimacy of smaller Civil Partnerships and elopements. We offer bespoke packages for shorter days, ensuring you still get that cinematic, documentary quality without needing to book 12 hours of coverage if you don’t need it.
