Our films are not just about showing what happened but about capturing the essence of how it felt to be there, in that moment, experiencing it all unfolding around you. Our raw, intimate style is all about immersing the viewer directly into the action, making them feel the atmosphere and imagine themselves as part of the event. 

But whilst our experience films focus on atmosphere, our long-form reportage films capture the event in full, creating a lasting document of the occasion or a perfect way to view and be a part of the event for those who couldn't attend in person. Alongside beautiful multi-camera edits (complete with full professional sound recording and mixing) we can also live-stream your event to bring it directly to a wider audience as the event unfolds.

With over 12 years experience of filming events and the prior decade spent lighting, designing, sound engineering and coordinating them, York Place Films, alongside our incredible world-renowned photographers) have the creative and technical expertise to handle any event.

Starting out as a theatrical lighting and sound designer and technician before turning to filmmaking, we're as passionate about theatre as we are about films.
We understand the process of making theatre - the blocking, the direction, the underlying themes and the technical aspects that go into making an incredible experience for an audience. That's why we're ideally placed to work alongside your creative team to capture the performance on film just the way it was meant to be experienced by a live audience.
