Glamping, Gatherings & Gestures – A York Place Style Tipi Wedding in Hertfordshire

In Brief: A beautifully relaxed outdoor Tipi wedding with an emphasis on fun over formality

Time is flying at the moment and we are heading into wedding season at an alarmingly fast pace! We have been on the go somewhat relentlessly since January; in fact as we write this Dom has just returned from Fujfilm’s House of Photography where she took part in a live panel discussion for International Women’s Day panel. Meanwhile in less than a week now we will be heading to Barcelona for the biggest European Wedding Photography Festival Bodaf. Six hundred people will be hearing us speak on the big stage on the 10th March with our new Talk “Is This Something?”

But before we get carried away with all the excitement of 2022 it’s time to jump back to 2021 and all the wonderful weddings we got to experience in what was, incredibly, our 15th year of shooting!

Sian and Sam’s wedding took place at the beautiful Home Farm Glamping in Elstree – a stunning setting deep in the Hertfordshire countryside with tipis, firepits, haybales and the most wonderful place for an outdoor ceremony beneath the branches of a huge and very beautiful tree. It was everything we love about weddings: a day brimming with characters and a couple who truly understood and connected with our work. They didn’t care about the wedding formalities and they just wanted us to capture the real feel and fun of their day. It was a playground of opportunities for two photographers who were just so happy to be shooting again we bounced around the fields capturing everything in our York Place street style.

Here are just a few of our favourite frames, although we genuinely know that on another day we would probably have chosen a completely different set as it was almost impossible to narrow down our favourites from such an enjoyable day of wedding photography at Home Farm Glamping.
