The Downe Arms Wedding Photography
Two White Doves – The sun beckoned, the children’s excitement was palpable as the brides party prepared for the dawn of a new beginning for Liz and James. Make up was applied, mirrors held and carefully maneuvered by one and all whilst advice and stories were swapped; laughter was in abundance. The children were dressed, all of them adding a different dimension, as they paraded their delightful outfits around the room. The bride looked radiant as she looked on the preparations unfolding before her eyes. As the excitement spilled outside with little girls twirling and highland boys stick fighting the bells began to ring and the transport arrived.
At the church the anticipation of the arrival was very much a family affair as the grooms father was the very man who was going to take the service! As the groom slipped into the church the car was on its way……..
The service was extra special and there was nothing but smiles all around as everyone poured out to confetti and laughter abounding. Then it was off to the Downe Arms to continue the celebrations and enjoy the food and speeches. After food, wine and emotional and entertaining speeches the guests accumulated outside in anticipation of a “happening!” The happy couple stood behind a basket and as if by magic on the lifting of the lid white doves emerged and flew off into the distance. The oohs and aahs were followed by excited conversation which energised the children into playful chasing round the garden until the sun sank slowly on the day. The evening taking on an etheral light, changing the children into fairy like beings that absorbed the very essence of the day making it an occasion not to be forgot!
