SEWERBY HALL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Sewerby Hall is situated on the cliff tops in the East Riding of Yorkshire and it enjoys scenic views of Flamborough and its lighthouse to the North and the town of Bridlington to the South. This setting provided the perfect location for Martine and Neil’s wedding. Sewerby Hall is a Grade 1 listed Georgian country house set amidst 50 acres of landscape gardens perfect for a wedding. The Hall itself has fine period rooms of the Georgian, Regency and Victorian eras. Weddings can be held in the Swinton Room which is a Victorian reception room, seating 70 guests, with a fine Neo-Rococo plaster ceiling and views onto the North Gardens. However it was the magnificent 19th century glass conservatory known as the Orangery that provided the setting for their wedding with stunning views overlooking the South gardens and Bridlington Bay. Guests and family alike could listen to and watch the service whilst also being aware of the truly magnificent views.
After the service the sun continued to shine down on the happy couple and the daffodils outside provided a beautiful back drop for the wedding photography. The grounds accessed by the guests behind the Georgian house provided opportunities for capitulating images with unusual types of trees adding to the dynamics of the photography of their wedding day.
After the ceremony and photography it was a pretty drive to the coastal town of Bridlington, still in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The reception was held at the newly refurbished Bridlington Spa a stones throw away from the beach. The happy couple had lots of wedding photographs taken with each other on the beach before the wedding breakfast. The speeches provided entertainment for one and all of the guests and the cutting of the cake continued the wedding celebrations.
