Oddfellows | Chester
Oddfellows Chester has to go down as one of the coolest venues we have ever visited since we started photographing weddings 7 years ago! Oddfellows Chester is quirky, fun and completely unique and fitted our couple to a Tee! There was furniture on the ceiling, a garden on the roof, typewriters on the walls and neon lights in the hallway to name just a few of the fabulous features of this incredible venue. Lucy and Donal wanted a wedding that was relaxed: no sit down meal, no rules, just constant fun, and it’s something of an understatement to say that they certainly achieved it! They split the wedding into two diverse but equally fun rooms at Oddfellows: one a boisterous disco, wild dancing and cut loose affair and the other a more relaxed room with live Irish music (to represent Donal’s heritage) and a cool chilled-out vibe.
They also had the most incredible cake, decorated with famous landmarks representing all the wonderful travel adventures they have had together and topped by figurines of the couple themselves, dressed in their swimming gear to show their athletic lifestyle. It was a day full of laughter; the boys had us in stitches with their crazy Muppets socks and wise-cracks as did the the girls with their wigs and fairy wings parading around wildly! Our gorgeous newlyweds and their friends and family made us feel so welcome and we really did have the time of our lives!
