Crown Spa Hotel, Scarborough & St. Oswalds Church, Filey Wedding Photography – Louise & Joe
History repeats itself – On the 20th May last year, one of my best friends Hannah married her soul-mate Rob in a beautiful seaside wedding. The bridal bouquet must have really exercised its mysterious power that day as a year later Louise, the girl who upon that fateful day had looked after Hannah and ensured she made it safely down the aisle, was no longer the bridesmaid and every bit the bride as she celebrated the love she shares with Joe, the man of her dreams. And, as fate would have it, as Louise took those first nervous steps into the church, this time it was Hannah who supported and looked after her, the roles reversed but their happiness for one another unmistakable.
As Louise got ready in her family home in Filey the atmosphere was electric with nerves and excitement. Whilst her hair and makeup artist adjusted the radiant Bride to perfection, best friend Ali (who happened to be the gorgeous Bridesmaid of both Louise and Hannah) nervously perfected the speech she would later make to the happy couple, Hannah listening intently ready to help with any last-minute adjustments to be made for this very special wedding toast.
Joe proposed to his beautiful future wife in Paris atop the Eiffel Tower and this incredibly romantic gesture was a continuing theme for the entire wedding. The whole event oozed sentiment and beauty and, Joe being the perfectionist that he is, our devoted groom ensured that everything was taken care of to military precision whilst Louise lovingly applied those elegant finishing touches. This was a wedding forged by the attentive care and dedication of both Bride and Groom, and together they had created something truly sublime. It was a magical day: a day about love and friendship, about joy and great beauty. But above all, it was a day about a boy and a girl and a sacred promise made to one another, a promise to spend the rest of their lives as husband and wife.
