The Year That Was 2014 : York Place Studios
“Wherever there is light, one can photograph.” – Alfred Stieglitz
As we approach our tenth year as wedding photographers we feel lucky and privileged to have been in the wedding industry for so long and to have the opportunity to work with couples who appreciate the style of photography we love and that enjoy embracing our available light ethos.
At the end of every wedding season we always take a moment to reflect on the evolution of our work throughout the year and investigate how we can further distil and hone our style. We look to improve and set ourselves new goals and challenges to develop our photography for 2015.
One of our goals from last year was to start shooting street photography as street was a huge influence on us when we first started out nearly ten years ago. Our intentions were that this would open up new avenues in our photography that would then further develop our skills as wedding photographers. This is something we are looking forward to further progressing this year.
We spent 2014 focussing on encapsulating not only what the year looked like but what it felt like. Here are 100 photographs from 2014 captured York Place style.
