Raven Hall Hotel Wedding Photography with Gem & Nik
Raven Hall Hotel in North Yorkshire is a venue that we have visited on many occasions and always enjoy doing so. It is set on the East Coast overlooking Robin’s Hood Bay and has magnificent views from all aspects of the hotel. Whatever the weather be it rain, snow or shine it is a fabulous venue for us as North Yorkshire wedding photographers to shoot!
On Gem & Nik’s wedding day we actually had four seasons of weather in just one day! When we arrived early in the morning it was unseasonably hot, with bright blue skies and clear views of Ravenscar’s beautiful coastline. Then flurries of snow as the bride arrived (which she was delighted by as it was her dream to have the white stuff!) and as the lovely couple said “I do” in the original Great Hall of Raven Hall Hotel the sun broke out through the clouds and we seized the opportunity to go and take them out onto the old Hall’s battlements and capture some shots across the ever-changing landscape that surrounds Raven Hall Hotel.
The wedding party celebrations continued into the Raven Hall’s George the 3rd suite were emotional but moving and at times jovial stories were shared through the thoughtful speeches provided by the groom and best man. As ever the attentive staff of Raven Hall moved the wedding celebrations back into the Great Hall with apparent east. The guests relaxed with cups of tea and coffee and our tea-loving bride and groom clinked cups happy to sit back and relax in the company of friends and family on their wonderful wedding day.
As the sun set on the days’ celebrations the versatile tones of the Ordinary Men notched the wedding party into a different gear. the wedding party and guests alike danced and jived away the night and the wonderful sound of the band made Raven Hall rock to the stroke of midnight.
