Time is flying so fast and soon it will be wedding season again before we know it! :) We have already had two weddings in 2016, one this last Saturday in fact, (slightly off topic but all weddings should have a “Dance through the Decades” theme, it was EPIC!), but I digress; back to this stunning wedding! This gorgeous pair chose Wynyard Hall for their festive winter wedding and what an absolutely amazing day they had!
We loved this wedding and were in our element in the cosy low winter light; it was a day bursting with emotion and love and it was a pleasure to capture all the little moments that made this wedding so special. Perhaps our favourite thing about wedding photography is having the chance to share those moments of the wedding that the bride and groom just don’t get to see on their day. The day goes so fast and it is impossible for them to see everything (they would literally have to have eyes in the back of their heads!) but these are the moments that represent the heart and soul of the day and it’s the privilege of the wedding photographer to observe them all. The bride and groom didn’t see the moment when the page boy closed his eyes when Faye got dressed(!), Our bride didn’t experience the look on Joel’s face as he waited, his whole body flooding with emotions before turning to see his beautiful bride glide down the aisle. And neither of them, lost in each other’s eyes, saw her father unable to hold those joyous tears back any more as they placed the rings on their fingers. They may never have seen these things on the day itself but they are moments and memories that should never be missed.
