It was on a US visit to New York to study under one of our photographic heroes, Alex Webb, that the seeds of an idea - to combine street photography techniques with documentary style wedding photography - first began to blossom. Street photography had long been a passion, and we wanted to find that same level of true artistic satisfaction from our wedding work, so starting to combine the two brought a whole new dimension to our wedding photography (whilst simultaneously changing the way we thought about street photography too!). The result has been a style of photography that sees us travelling all over the world, photographing weddings, speaking at conferences and offering private workshops and mentoring to wedding photographers looking to expand their photographic opportunities and see wedding photography in a different creative light.

But really when we photograph weddings it's not about street photography and nor is it about any preconceived notion of what wedding photography should be. To us, it's simply about photographing people being their ordinary selves on an extraordinary day. The techniques we use are not about technical accomplishment, they are about exploring every facet, feeling, connection and emotion of the moment to create photographs that get to the very heart of the scene, whether it's a big "set-piece" moment, or a tiny, seemingly insignificant interaction between old friends reunited. So whether we're photographing a wedding in London or the USA, it's all about celebrating your day - your personalities, your friendships and relationships. You could plan a wedding for 20 years and never even imagine the moment that, in time, ends up being the most important. Those are the moments we want to capture for you.
