HELEN & RICH // TREARDDUR BAY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY BY DOM & LIAM
When Helen and Rich first contacted us about their wedding, they described the venue as a “Boathouse on the Inland Sea”. With just those few words we were hooked…
The Boathouse at Trearddur Bay really is an extraordinary venue, with the gentle waves of the Irish sea lapping quietly against its long wooden jetty and the clear wall of the attached marquee literally yards from the ocean providing a pretty special backdrop to a drinks reception! Helen and Rich did a stunning job in working with the rustic boathouse theme and as the sun began to set the whole place looked simply spectacular.
Speaking of Helen and Rich for those keen-eyed followers of the blog you might recognise one or two familiar faces amongst the pictures… this was in fact our second visit to Anglesey of the year and you might just spot the lovely Rachel & Charlie from our last wedding blog (click here to find it!) along with many of their friends and family as they were all reunited for this family’s second amazing wedding of the year! This won’t be the last time either… we’re hugely looking forward to photographing more of this amazing bunch’s extended family over the next year or so – watch this space! :)
There are too many things to mention about why we loved Helen and Rich’s wedding but let’s fill you in on one or two highlights: the family banter from both the bride and groom’s family (particularly during the game of Viking which is a new one to us!); the explosion of confetti; Dom’s unexpected dip in the sea(!) to ensure the group shots were perfect for the couple; that amazing view from the marquee and of course the dancing… oh the dancing! When Rich and the boys lifted Helen above their heads to the cacophony of cheers from the crowd mixed with the Dirty Dancing soundtrack it was one of the killer moments of our career so far.
Thanks to our incredible Dirty Dancing couple and their friends and family (seriously we feel like part of the gang now!) for a wedding that was simply a joy. We can’t wait for the next spectacular wedding with this fantastic bunch of people.
