London’s hipster heartland Hackney is a hive of creativity and community and is, without doubt, our favourite part of the great city. There’s nothing we like more than working with creative couples and Hackney, with its incredible converted industrial spaces, stunning gastropubs and other inventive spaces from canal barges to breweries, is the perfect place to express yourself and really put your own stamp of individuality on your wedding day.

Whilst Hackney has many great spots for a ceremony it is of course particularly well known for its fantastic nightlife so it’s no surprise that it’s reception venues where Hackney really comes into its own.

There’s Martello Hall with its industrial chic feel and amazing rooftop terrace, Hackney Church Brew Co – a space with natural light streaming in from all angles (perfect for our no-flash documentary style!), the factory feel of  Dalston Heights, the canal-side Studio 9294 or the very much IN-the-canal Barge East – perfect if you want to wow your guests with something truly different for your wedding day. With so many incredible spaces to let your creativity run rife, Hackney really is the perfect match for our relaxed, creative, unposed documentary wedding photography style.
