The Weight of Anticipation
In the soft light of the bridal suite, the morning’s momentum pauses on the edge of a vintage sofa.
It is a study in the diverging rhythms of a wedding day: the bride standing as a patient anchor, “working” for her flower girls by holding their bouquets, versus the nervous, restless energy of the children occupying themselves with a book. A frame built purely on feel – the typical hierarchy of the day flipped, finding the heart of the story in a moment of humble, unscripted service.
The Photographer’s Note: “I was drawn to the subversion of the norm here. Usually, everyone is tending to the bride, but I loved seeing her standing there, bouquets in hand, while the girls were preoccupied with their own world. It’s a visceral moment that captures the patient stillness of the bride against the frantic, nervous hum of the children waiting for the ceremony to begin.”
