Last weekend we photographed our seventh wedding of the year and it’s safe to say that wedding season has well and truly arrived! Over the next four months we will be having a new adventure in a new place each and every week as the York Place team travel across the UK to capture so many fantastic couple’s memories. A few weeks ago we were in Beverley for Sarah & Mike’s gorgeous wedding at the extraordinarily beautiful Beverley Minster. Although the Minster is a relatively local venue for us it was our first time photographing this majestic work of architecture and it was quite the thrill! We particularly loved seeing one of Sarah’s relatives in Australia Face-timed in for the ceremony (the wonders of technology!) and even from across the world he could see, experience and feel the emotion.
Another absolute highlight for us was the surprise New Orleans style brass band who marched in immediately after the first dance! The guests reactions were brilliant and everyone took straight to the dance floor, throwing themselves in with the pulsating beat laid down by the sousaphone and pulling some shapes as the band funked up some classic pop hits!
It was a fantastic wedding and we loved capturing this awesome couple’s memories, thanks so much to Sarah and Mike and their family and friends for making us so welcome.
