We have a confession: we are a little bit obsessed with dance floors at weddings. We absolutely can’t get enough of them, we love to capture all the fun and madness from the bride and groom and their wedding guests and we get a real buzz from shooting with that much energy jumping, spinning and swirling all around us. From the first time we spoke to Lucy and Loig we instantly loved them. We loved their attitude towards their wedding (I believe Loig’s exact words were “no cheesy romantic portraits crap please!”), we loved their enthusiasm for real photography and they told us there and then that the thing they really couldn’t wait for was the party… and neither could we! So, with all that in mind we had pretty high expectations going into their wedding and man, it truly didn’t disappoint. Lucy and Loig and their friends are just the coolest people you could ever meet; the French/English fusion wedding was a joy, the people, the energy and oh my word the dancing. The atmosphere on that dance floor was electric: the spinning, the dipping, the hands in the air; our bride and groom leading the pack… with all that was going on we didn’t leave until 1am and even then the party showed no signs of slowing down.
So much love goes to Lucy, Loig, their friends and family for making an unforgettable wedding (and party!) and to Jeff Wood (the ninja filmmaker!) for being an awesome addition to such a wonderful day.
