MASTERS OF WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY – YORK PLACE STUDIOS

Since the humble beginnings of York Place Studios back in 2006 we’ve always challenged ourselves to enter various respected photography contests to put our work out there in competition with some of the very best wedding photographers worldwide. What’s always been incredibly important to us though is to ensure that we only ever enter images that we truly love and resonate with and that we never take an image specifically with awards in mind as, to us, an award only has meaning if it’s for images that are truly a reflection of the artist that captured them. As a result we’re always incredibly flattered when the work that means so much to us is recognised and celebrated by our peers around the world.

Masters of Wedding Photography is an international competition celebrating wedding photography of all styles and genre and different countries or areas each have their own awards. Liam was recently honoured to be asked to judge the German, Austria and Switzerland version and we decided shortly after to join the UK and Ireland edition. We were very happy to discover today that our first entry into the competition won (an apparently record breaking!) 15 awards, putting us in first place in Round 1 of the 2020-2021 super season.
