The Continuity of Curiosity
While the rest of the wedding party was still looking at the sky, caught up in the collective drift of a flurry of pink balloons, a much more interesting performance was beginning at ground level.
This is a glimpse into the quiet, accidental independence that defines us before the world tells us how to behave. It captures that temporary “glitch” in a day’s formality, where the historic courtyard of carlton towers becomes a private stage for a tiny protagonist navigating the world in borrowed shoes.
This is why we don’t look for the perfect pose; we look for the truth that is already there. It’s about being tuned into the periphery, waiting for the moment where the environment and the subject align in a way that feels both impossible and inevitable.
“I see a version of my own history looking back at me here. I love the weight of it – the towering, ivy-clad stone, and then this tiny, resolute figure in red heels. It’s the human story happening while everyone else is looking at the clouds.”
