This Is Reportage Awards 2019 – Best UK Documentary Wedding Photographers
It feels a little pre-emptive to start summing up 2019 but as the long winter nights draw in and the season slows down it’s hard not to feel just a little bit nostalgic about this crazy year and all the adventures it’s taken us on. From gorgeous weddings all over the UK to street trips and speaking engagements in Bali, Mexico, Barcelona and Poland (and the UK too!) it’s been a wonderful time in our lives and we are once again reminded how lucky we are to have been granted the extraordinary opportunities this career has given us.
It really has been one of the most rewarding years of our career so far and as York Place starts it’s fifteenth(!) year we are proud that in the highly sought after competition “This Is Reportage” as a collective we won 16 awards this year (two more then last year!) and Liam was the UK number one and joint second overall. After coming first last year with fewer awards we are super proud to still be in the top percentile of documentary wedding photographers and as a team we have now won 30 awards!
We have so much to share from this year and we can’t wait but for now here are our winning images (5 story awards and 11 individual frames).
